St. Petersburg Florida has become a destination for the arts. Where there is art there are artists, museums, and galleries. Owners of “artists of elements” Ellen Newbauer and Kathy Cregan after a two-year search found a building located at 4746 22nd Ave South, St. Petersburg Fl. that fits with their vision. They received the keys on Sept.15th and on Nov.10, 2023, had a soft opening that exceeded their expectations. They are looking forward to settling into the local arts community. Ellen Newbauer as a Master Woodmaker needed a workspace that would provide enough space for her to work and display her art. As an artist throughout the years, she learned how difficult it is for artists to get their work in galleries, which is why she decided to get a larger location and assist with art sales, a venue for classes and workshops. Ellen partnered with her long-time friend Kathy Cregan who is a CPA and handles the administrative side of the business. Kathy explained the gallery currently serves 50 artists (90% locals) comprised of painters, writers, jewelry makers, and artisans. The main focus is emerging creatives who are as serious about their business as the “artists of elements” group is. Moving forward they plan on adding more artists to their roster. Although Ellen and Kathy work proactively at the gallery, Artist Jana Steinhour is the manager. Rest assured if you are looking for a special gift or just enjoy indulging in the arts, a visit to “artists of elements” will not disappoint. It’s a Creative haven where good vibes roam.
