The Exquisite Corpse Int’l 2015 art game, changed the game alright. On Thursday November 12, 2015, the unveiling of the exhibit “Parade of Corpses” was beyond everybody’s expectations, at the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts.
The first ECI game started with the bar elevated pretty high. In order for artist to participate in the game, they had to be invited. Chosen. Criteria #1 was attitude. They needed to be able to have fun while creating their piece. Criteria #2 Talent, be completely devoted to their craft. The ECI 2015 first 3D- 2D game started with an extremely talented list of participating artist. It will be interesting to see how the game progresses during years to come. It is a very hard act to follow.
It was a magical night. Many dots connected at a very high frequency. Creativity was flowing all around The St. Petersburg Museum of Fine arts. Music, Art ,food, drinks , artists, friends, Priceless.
The Parade of Corpses is an art exhibit created by the outcome of a game. It will travel. Currently the board is working on confirming the 2015-2016 tour to museums & galleries around the State, Nation, world.
I was fortunate to have participated in the game. Since the games art exhibit unveiling, it feels like I have been playing my own cardboard version of Jumanji game in real life. Amazing moments.
Friday Glow glass art experience at The Morean Hot shop. Saturday , sculpture art show at Bloom, Art exhibit at The Morean arts center, Sunday Exposure art exhibit brunch, at the Morean Clay center. Collaborations were great and it shined through the art work. The “Exposure” art exhibit was produced by Cindy Stovall. Congratulations is in order to all involved.
Today it feels as if I have broken the code and have elevated MY Game to “The matrix” level. The game has many layers and are unfolding and revealing themselves very quickly. The game is designed to stimulate the mind through art.
Last but not least someone mentioned what was accomplished on a shoe string budget. Exquisite Corpse International may have not had much funding however people from the community showed up and collaborated as well. Justin Mullally filmmaker, Britanny Rebic photographer , Steve Coderre Real Estate Broker and Danielle Findley Florida Print Solutions to mention a few.
The event was a sequence of serendipity moments that turned into a fireball of phenomenal creative energy.
The above video is the ECI introduction documentary that was shown at the unveiling to help people understand what was going on. The short introduction documentary, was introduced by Mark Mitchell’s band live performance ,who wrote a song for the Exquisite Corpse 2015 game. Mark Mitchell also participated in the 2D portion of the game.
Oh what a night! The game continues to unfold so stay tuned. . . . . . .
